hello!
It’s so nice to have you here. I’m Alessa, a wedding photographer based in Montreal with a soft spot for Ireland, old cottages, and anything even slightly cottagecore. I’m an eldest daughter, a very type-A Virgo, and the kind of person who’s always been in charge of remembering the moments.
I’m a full millennial — aka the friend who always brought the digital camera on nights out, then went home and carefully curated a Facebook album the next day. I didn’t know it at the time, but I was already the designated photographer.
My first camera was a Canon digital when I was 13, followed by a 35mm film camera (also Canon), where I learned how to really see and meter light. At 20, I bought my first professional camera and started assisting and second-shooting weddings. I took a break when my husband and I opened our business together, but coming back to wedding photography felt like coming home — I missed it more than I ever expected.
I describe my style as modern nostalgia. Think joyful, colourful, love-filled images that already feel like memories. I won’t ask you to pose or perform or follow trends — I just want you to be yourselves, and I’ll be there to capture it all as it unfolds.
